As I get older I still enjoy the ability to learn new things, such as the fact that the hole in a bagel is not there to put your thumb through while slicing the bagel.

Surfing The Rails
I commute to work on the Commuter Rail. In recent years the commuter rail management company has been putting WiFi zones on the trains so that it is (theoretically) possible to surf the web while commuting. So I have been taking my eeepc on the train to try it out.
To say that the experience is abysmal would be a compliment. It takes half of my commute time to wade through the EULA (End User Licensing Agreement), and then once connected, the connection suddenly ends after about five minutes. Bad words come to mind while trying to use the service.
The odd thing is that the provider of the service, who shall remain nameless, has their name and logo plastered all over the sides of the cars, presumably as an advertisement. I might reveal the name later, but At This Time it will remain a secret.
Anyway, one would think that if a company were to provide such ostentatious display on the outside, they would take especial care to provide the best service possible on the inside in order to avoid a negative association between the logo and the product.
One should be more careful of one's assumptions in the future.

Next week we will do the same with some more refined drawings. It$ fun, but I wonder what all of thi$ is going to co$t u$.
